Barton Court is a coeducational Grammar School with over 900 students between the ages of 11-19, including a thriving sixth form. We have language college status and all sixth form students from September 2007 are studying the International Baccalaureate (IB). The sixth form have a dedicated IB study centre.
The school is situated near the centre of the historic Cathedral City of Canterbury on a World Heritage site. The "old house", built in 1750, with its lake, ancient trees, gardens, and playing fields makes Barton Court an idyllic place in which to learn.
Several new buildings and facilities have been added over the last 10 years; including purpose built food technology, ICT and language blocks with a new library opening January 2008. Plans for a large sports hall, in collaboration with Canterbury Christchurch University, are currently underway.
